In order to ensure quality care for our clients, our employees must pass through our extensive screening process, which includes:
• Criminal background check (both in- and out-of-state)
• Circuit Court Access Program
• Medical Assistance Exclusion List
• Wisconsin Nurse Registry Check
• Driving Record Check
• Employment References Check
• Drug Screen
All of our direct service staff are required to take part in our Caregiver Orientation training which covers client rights, client confidentiality, recognizing client abuse and neglect, common disabilities and diseases affecting elderly and physically and mentally disabled individuals, and much more.
For personal care services, GeminiCares, Inc. has the option to offer Direct Care Competency training which allows our agency to provide client-specific training to employees so that they may provide Medical Assistance Personal Care services without having a personal care worker certification. Our staff is also experienced in Grandfathering employees to work within the current Medical Assistance Personal Care program.
