Direct Care Competency Training

GeminiCares, Inc. is one of two agencies that piloted and developed criteria for Direct Care Competency (DCC) training with The Management Group, Inc. Only counties and agencies authorized by the State of Wisconsin can provide DCC Training. This authorization allows us to offer client-specific training to employees so that they may provide Medical Assistance Personal Care services with a DCC certificate instead of a personal care certificate. In areas where certified personal care workers are limited, our DCC designation gives us greater access to quality personal care workers.

FBI Fingerprint Pilot

Gemini was selected by the State of Wisconsin to pilot a program designed to determine if FBI fingerprint checks reveal more criminal background information than a Wisconsin Department of Justice criminal background check reveals.

Long-Term Care Redesign

Gemini has been a provider agency to both LaCrosse County and Portage County Care Management Organizations (CMO) for many years. This experience has given us a unique understanding of the transition from county agency long-term care service to Family Care service provision.
